Welcome back to the Harrisonburg City Public Works site with Harman superintendent JT Lam. Significant progress has been made since the last update, and the project is steadily moving towards completion

Our recently completed project at St. Francis of Assisi in Staunton, Virginia, is a prime example of this commitment. Ahead of schedule and with impeccable attention to detail, this project showcases the remarkable changes and improvements we’ve made to this historic church.

Preston started Valley Vital Care about ten years ago in Waynesboro, Virginia. The original location had limitations, and the need for a new, improved space became evident. While searching for a new site, Preston stumbled upon an old, neglected structure. Despite its dilapidated condition and multiple ownership changes, no one had given it the TLC it desperately needed.

Our commitment to making a difference isn’t confined to a job site or a warehouse. Sometimes, a cause resonates deeply with our employees, and we have the resources to extend our support. Recently, we had the privilege of hosting an event that showcased our ongoing dedication and the incredible spirit of our employees.

When we left off with the Suter Street project, the bones of the five duplexes were up, but now, all five buildings have been constructed. Now that they are complete, we want to reflect on why we are particularly proud of what has resulted from all the teamwork and commitment to building a bright future for our community.

Mather Architects started with the vision of adding four new one-bedroom apartments to the open side of the current building and then enclosing the open-air courtyard, turning it into a beautiful new atrium for Sunnyside Retirement Community. Now, we’re waist-deep in bringing this project to fruition. We are excited to take you on a tour of what the combined efforts of Mathers Architects and Harman Construction have created thus far.

Bright and early before the break of dawn, the team at Harman Construction, spearheaded by Superintendent JT Lam, embarked on a significant endeavor at the Harrisonburg City Public Works Administration Office Building. Together with the skilled team from Steve Lloyd Services, they initiated a crucial phase of construction: pouring the concrete for the second-floor deck.

Guided by the vision of Phil Yutzy, one of the co-owners, and his students, this project is not just about constructing buildings; it's about creating affordable and entry-level housing that meets the needs of the community.

This project reflects a deep commitment to preserving the church's heritage, a testament to the congregation's reverence for its spiritual roots.

Welcome to Bryce Sports Center! Eric Cash, Project Manager for Harman Construction, is here to give you an update on what's been happening since your last visit.

As you approach the entrance, you'll see the new concrete walls that are made to look like wood but are actually poured concrete with rebar for strength. The entrance structure is being built with steel and will soon have a wood roof and decorative signage.
