HCI provided Pre-construction and General Contracting services for a new 5 story, 80,000+sf Hyatt Place Hotel in Harrisonburg, VA. This striking wood framed, 119 Room hotel has it all! In the evening, you won't miss the Hyatt Place with its elaborate and eye catching exterior lighting package like no other in the Shenandoah Valley. Hotel guests are greeted with regional artwork and mural in the front Lobby area. The Placery, one of two restaurants at the hotel, is immediately adjacent to the check-in counter. The other restaurant is the Ridge Room rooftop tavern on the 5th floor of the hotel which is approx. 1,563 sf of total dining area, including the outdoor patio. The Ridge Room is decked out with features including a 22' long glass nanawall that allows guests to soak in the breathtaking panaromic views of the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains. On warmer days the nanawall can be completely opened and allow the outdoor patio to become an extension of the tavern. The Ridge Room’s theme is Cabin Glam, highlighted by antler chandeliers, old school lanterns, gas fireplace inset on a lantern mural and a zinc bar top. Non-hotel guests can enter from the side of the hotel into the Trophy Room and take the elevator up to the tavern. The hotel also boasts two beautiful patio areas. The back patio showcases an oversized gas fire pit and water feature along with a couple TVs. The side patio has a gas fireplace as well. The hotel also features a heated indoor pool, large fitness room, almost 2,000 sf of conference room space, ample parking and EV charging stations. Exterior finishes included Nichiha cement panels, Una-Clad Firestone and Omega Lite metal panels, EIFS and thin brick. Ceiling under the Canopy and Patios is a Rulon Endure panel.
