Before the Build - Sunnyside Village Court Apartments

The Vision

With the vision of Sunnyside Retirement Community and a creative design from Mather Architects, we will be adding 4 new 1 bedroom apartments to the open side of the current building and then enclosing the open-air court yard turning it into a beautiful new atrium. The scope of work will cover approximately 11,200 SF. 3,500 SF on the 1st floor including the atrium and 7,700 SF on the 2nd floor including the atrium.   The residents will continue to occupy this building while it is under construction so we will have additional safety measures in place to keep the residents safe. The exterior of this building will include CMU, exterior brick, EFIS, and stone veneer and to blend in with the existing building.  We will also be replacing the current roof.

THe New atrium

The new atrium will have an elevator, restrooms, a café area, and storage.  The atrium roof will have 12 skylights to allow plenty of natural light into the space.  The new enclosed atrium will be a beautiful new area for the residents and their guests to enjoy year round. We are happy to be working with Mather Architects on another Sunnyside Retirement Community project and excited to have you watch this project come to life.
